PD_design as something not obvious

At the request of “Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022” organisation, we virtually activated Kaunas design community. This time, in our community, we didn’t want to dominate with our methods and vision and decided to go with a weird-sounding audio invitation and open-ended questions. We did interviews, made contact with 17 people. The questions of the interview were intended to understand how we could define the field of Kaunas design together and what is happening in it. We talked about how the designers see the situation themselves, what institutions work, what are the processes, where are “design sites”, what are public attitudes towards design in general. The results of those activities are “Regulation for Design Dreams” and “Design Alphabet”.
